ASPR Funding

The Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response’s Medical Countermeasures and Biodefense portfolio includes the Division of Research, Innovations, and Ventures (DRIVe), Combatting Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria (CARB-X), Project NextGen, Industrial Based Expansion (IBx), and the Strategic National Stockpile.  BARDA and its programs also fall under the ASPR which are addressed separately on the BARDA Funding page.

These opportunities are typically available through Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs/EZ-BAAs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Preparedness Consortium (BioMaP-Consortium). ASPR IBx encourages participation from a diverse range of entities, including educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and businesses of all sizes, particularly those with innovative solutions that can help protect the nation from CBRN threats.
